Principal's Message

Dear Benito Juarez Middle School Families,
Principal Urrabazo

It is an honor and privilege to serve as Benito Juarez Middle School's principal. I have had a lifelong passion for working with children and feel very grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role. I have sixteen years of experience teaching at various grade levels, first through eighth grade, in all content areas.  Additionally, I have many years of experience serving in other kinder-12th grade school roles, such as a school counselor, assistant principal, and principal. Last year I served as Crystal City High School's principal, and it was an amazing year! I am truly honored to have been a part of such a caring, compassionate, and hard-working school family.

First, I would like to welcome everyone to Benito Juarez Middle School! Our mission is to provide each and every one of our Little Javelins with the highest quality education possible. I believe it takes a village to raise a child, and we are truly a village with teachers, parents, and other community members working together to provide what is best for every child here at Benito Juarez. As educators, we have the incredible responsibility and opportunity to teach our children and positively impact their lives. I believe in teaching the whole child and meeting every child's needs academically, socially, and emotionally.

As your principal, I promise to keep students at the forefront of every decision we make as a school. We will strive to teach and provide students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for a successful future. We will encourage and teach curiosity and problem-solving and instill a lifelong love of learning. We will teach having a growth mindset and grit so all students will learn to face challenges with confidence and perseverance. And most of all, every child will be valued and cared for. I look forward to a fantastic school year! Go, Little Javelins, Go!

Your Proud Principal,

Dalia P. Urrabazo
