December Teacher of the Month
Benito Juarez Middle School has bestowed Mr. Felipe Perez, fifth grade Science teacher, the honor of being selected as our December Teacher of the Month for this 2022-23 school year! A fellow fifth-grade colleague stated, “Mr. Perez shows his expertise in his content. He shows determination, hard work, and a ‘can do’ attitude.”
Mrs. Urrabazo, our school principal, said, “Mr. Perez is very passionate about teaching and visibly invested in promoting his students’ growth to the mastery level. He exemplfies our campus vision and mission” Ms. Morales, BJMS academic dean, stated, “He sets high expectations for his students. He wants success for everyone, which is evident through his lessons in his teaching.” Mrs. Garza, the Instructional Coach for BJMS, confirms that these attributes are a testimony of why Mr. Perez, together with his team partner Mrs. Ruiz achieved a STAAR Distinction in fifth grade Science for the 2021-22 school year.
