  (Delivered via School Messenger)

  Dear Crystal City I.S.D. Family,

Tuesday, January 5, 2021, the district begins its second semester of classes. With this being said we at Crystal City I.S.D. remind all our parents to continue following CDC guidelines for COVID- 19.

Any of the following symptoms may indicate a possible COVID-19 infection:

  • Temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher when taken by mouth;
  • Sore throat;
  • New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing (or, for students with a chronic allergic /asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline);
  • Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain; or
  • New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever.

If your child is suffering any of the above symptoms or if someone in your immediate family has been diagnosed with active COVID-19, we ask you to please seek the guidance of a health care provider before sending your child to school.

We at Crystal City I.S.D. wish you and your family a safe and prosperous new year.

Respectfully,

Edward Lee Churchill

Superintendent of Schools
